OUR “small publishing company with a big mission” EXPANDS TO BECOME ELEVATED MINDS MEDIA, LLC.
This is a big year as we expand our reach into new media and open our arms to include new voices. Our aim continues to be the exploration and discovery of how all true knowledge is connected and can lead us to spiritual love and unity. Diverse topics such as self-improvement, gardening, fairy tales, mythology and legends, physics, biology and neuroscience, evolution, creation, ancient knowledge and worship can all provide powerful new insights into understanding God and our personal purpose in the divine plan of creation.
We’ve been planning this expansion for over 10 years and we’re ready to take things to the next level with an expanded staff and expanded opportunities for new voices to share their inspiration with the world.
Our undertaking is not simply an intellectual exercise. We publish books to inspire your heart and elevate your mind on many levels. We share ideas that can lead you to true inner happiness and help you become a positive influence in a world whose very future is uncertain. We offer knowledge for both the mind and the heart! The world can only solve its problems one person at a time—through our individual life choices.

EDWARD F. SYLVIA, M.T.S.
Philosopher/Theologian Edward F. Sylvia attended the School of Visual Arts in New York and had a long, successful career writing for some of the world’s largest advertising agencies in New York, St. Louis and Chicago. He now advertises for God.
He has been a student of the ideas of both George I. Gurdjieff and Emanuel Swedenborg for well over forty years. He received his M.T.S. (Master of Theological Studies) at the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, CA and a Certificate of Swedenborgian Studies. He is a multi-term past president of the St. Louis Publishers Association, and held membership in the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), The Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences (CTNS), the Swedenborg Scientific Association (SSA), the Missouri Botanical Garden, and Forest Park Forever.
Edward and his wife Susan have been married—and contributing to each other’s spiritual growth—since 1976. In 1980, they purchased 11 acres of empty farmland in southern Illinois, upon which he planted and nurtured over 300 different species of trees, organic vegetable gardens and an array of beautiful flowers. They lived there sustainably for over 35 years in a passive solar house. In 2014, they left this piece of the earth far better off than they found it and relocated to a high-rise city apartment, so Edward could focus on writing and working on his own regeneration and spiritual growth.
He is the award-winning author of several books, including Sermon From the Compost Pile: Seven Steps Toward Creating An Inner Garden; the children’s fable Cupid and the King of Muck; an essay book titled Swedenborg & Gurdjieff: The Missing Links; COSMIC DUTY — A Swedenborgian’s interpretation of “Beelzebub’s Tales to his Grandson (All and Everything)” and his masterwork Proving God, which fulfills a continuing vision that God’s fingerprints of Love can be found everywhere in the manifest universe. In 2019, he released A Book Written For Angels: An Interpretation of Swedenborg’s “The Worship And Love Of God.” His forthcoming book, “Swedenborg’s Hidden Project,” is a book like no other. Watch for it in late May, 2026.
As the Founder of Staircase Press, Edward has many other writing projects currently in the works, each with the intention to inspire your heart and elevate your mind.
